I just made my very first raw vegan green smoothie! I’ve spied these a lot on health blogs but have always been put off by the spinach factor, but oh sweet lord i am forever a convert.
Here’s what i threw together:
Spinach (a couple of large leaves, chopped)
1 cucumber, skin on
1 green apple
knob of ginger
cup of water
These are such a great way to get more veggies in your diet, especially those beautiful dark green varieties that are so high in iron, calcium and a host of other amazing nutrients. Apprently cucumber skin is a good ingredient for those seeking to lower their cholesterol levels too – so get excited about the funky green super drink!
